At a time when the market was dominated by paraffin candles, we took a pioneering step forward, aligning ourselves with prestigious partners like Marks & Spencer and Waitrose through our sponsorship of SWGB (Sustainable Wines of Great Britain). Our mission was to develop a candle that not only minimized CO2 emissions but also prioritized eco-friendliness without compromising on burn time and heat output.
Our relentless pursuit of innovation bore fruit in September 2021, when we unveiled a groundbreaking formula for our candles. This new formula extended burn times and utilized 100% vegetable wax, setting a new standard for sustainability. Today, we proudly supply the majority of UK vineyards, including renowned names like Nyetimber, Roebuck, and Simpsons, with our eco-friendly frost protection candle.
In May 2022, inspired by the success of our frost protection candles, we introduced our now Patented Eco Fuego Fire Pit at the SOLEX exhibition, where it won the prestigious Award for Best Individual Product. The Eco Fuego Fire Pit, now available at top UK garden centres, is unmatched in efficiency and effectiveness, emitting 90% less carbon per hour compared to conventional fire pits. It has set a new benchmark for eco-friendliness in the fire pit market.
Our journey continued in 2023 as we took the Eco Fuego on the road, showcasing it at numerous county shows, including the BBC Gardeners' World Live and Grand Design events. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with audiences amazed by its clean burn and ease of use and the Awards kept coming. The Eco Fuego, with its natural wood design and 100% sustainably sourced fuel, emits virtually no smoke, making it the ideal choice for those seeking an eco-friendly wood smoke free alternative for small gardens to traditional fire pits.
In April 2024, the Eco Fuego Fire Pit was endorsed by the Environment Agency as the fire pit of choice for coastal campsites, thanks to its unique features: no embers, no ash, no smoke, and easy to light and extinguish. This endorsement underscores our commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. Now in many Campsites around the UK.
By March 2024, our success had expanded beyond the UK, with over 10,000 units and 150,000 natural and scented refills sold globally. Our product is now available in garden centres across the UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, Chile and the USA.
